MMDS Cable TV Network

Multichannel multipoint distribution service (MMDS) is a fixed wireless technology called wireless cable TV or generic wireless DSL (xDSL). MMDS operates between 2.5GHz and 2.7GHz and is used for broadcasting, personal communications, and interactive media services in metropolitan areas.

Insta Telecom LTD was established in 2005 and offers 150 quality full HD TV channels to Kandahar city residents. The coverage area is 30Km radius, with the capability of serving 0.5 million residents.
